- Log now cut into lenghts
- 2nd stage,split each log using a mallet and froe
- Split the log in half
- Then into quarters
- Quarters ready for the next stage
- A side axe and chopping block
- 3rd stage,start to remove the edges using the side axe
- Keep going until you have a rough cylinder(billet)
- A draw horse and draw knife
- 4th stage,using the draw knife shape each billet closer to a cylinder
- Finished billets
- 5th stage,the pole lathe
- Some basic chisels
- Using leg power and the spring of the pole
- The 1st leg is complete
